World Top 1000 golf course* and Top 100 GB & Ire Course**

Designed by Harry Colt, The Championship Course ranks as one of the top links golf courses in the British Isles. Like so many ‘Colt’ courses, including Augusta National, Pine Valley, Sunningdale, Royal Portrush and Muirfield, Trevose guarantees a unique golfing experience.

As you stand on the intimidating 1st tee, with all 18 holes laid out in front of you the sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the headland will take your breath away. In keeping with most Colt designs the Course is set out in two loops of 9 holes. The front 9 holes hug the sand dunes and coastline, offering some spectacular views out to sea. The back 9 holes offer a different, but no less demanding test of golf as you head inland and then back towards the clubhouse. There is only one blind shot on the course and, from the 1st to the 18th the ocean view provides a constant reminder of your proximity to the sea.

Like all great links courses the difficulty lies in the wind – so beware when the wind blows! No two days are ever the same, and those who are prepared to be more creative with their shot making will be well rewarded. The greens are often wide and the fairways generous, but trouble awaits any errant shots. The rough can be penal in places, and watch out for the carefully crafted bunkers that are strategically placed throughout the course. Come rain or shine, wind or calm Trevose will test every shot in your armoury and every club in your bag!

The Championship Course has four sets of tees offering different levels of difficulty; blue (championship); white (club competitions); yellow (men’s day) and red (ladies day). Please check for allocated tee times if wishing to play a 3 or a 4 ball.
